My daughter, Jette, and I working on a Samsung commercial together.
Kia Ora, I’m Grant Triplow (Ngāti Tūwharetoa),
I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand, with over 20 years of international experience in photography and videography.
My passion for photography began as a child, inspired by National Geographic magazines, growing up in New Zealand.
I formally started my professional career in 2001 in London, shooting for Associated Newspapers Ltd (now DMG Media), primarily for The Daily Mail and its supplement magazines.
My commissions have spanned fashion, products, portraits, travel, investigative, and health photography worldwide.
While freelancing in the UK, my work appeared in leading publications such as The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, Metro, Newsweek, and Der Spiegel.
My clients included Good Health magazine, Tabitha Webb, Project D- Dannii Minogue, Freud Communications, and other established brands.
After returning to New Zealand in 2012, I headed the photography department at digital marketing agencies Localist & ORA, expanding into video production and broader digital marketing.
This work covered web content, business profiles, e-commerce, advertising, and more.
My freelance clients in New Zealand and internationally include Saatchi & Saatchi NZ, NZ Olympic Foundation, The Cartoon Network, BMW, Waka Kotahi, DB Breweries, NZ Opera, True Ltd, Healthline, Auckland Theatre Company, Westpac, and many others.
With a background in media and acting, I’m skilled at directing talent and putting interviewees at ease.
Colleagues know me as energetic, enthusiastic, reliable, and detail-oriented, while clients appreciate my flexibility, thoroughness, and collaborative approach.
In addition to photography and videography, I specialise in blogging, writing, corporate, headshots, and digital marketing, leveraging my experience as a digital marketing coordinator to create engaging, brand-focused content and social media strategies.
